Yard management sits outside the warehouse walls. It begins when a carrier requests or confirms a visit and ends at gate-out. Inside that window, teams capture who arrived, where the trailer is parked, which door it will use, how long it has waited, and what documents or freight apply.
It does not replace warehouse management inside the building, or transportation planning between facilities. It connects to both at the dock — handing off structured facts when a trailer is ready for receiving or shipping.
